Abstract Submission

The Apimondia 2019 Scientific Committee and the Local Organizing Committee welcome the submission of original contributions for oral and poster presentations at the Congress.

Abstract Submission Rules

  • Abstracts and presentations must be in English only.
  • Abstracts may only be submitted via the online system. Abstracts sent by post or email will not be accepted.
  • Abstract Submission deadline is March 1, 2019.
  • Submitted abstracts will be evaluated by a minimum of two members of the Apimondia 2019 Scientific Committee.
  • Abstracts will be ranked and selected according to a standardized scoring matrix used by scientific reviewers.
  • All accepted abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book of Apimondia 2019, available online, and using the congress “app”.
  • Each registered participant may submit a maximum of 2 abstracts as the presenting author. No author may present more than 2 submissions.
  • An evaluation of the submission will be sent to the author’s e-mail address by early June, 2019.
  • The Presenting Author of the accepted abstract(s) must register for the Congress before August 1, 2019.
  • After August 1, 2019 abstracts whose presenting author is not registered will be withdrawn by default and thus will not be included in the Scientific Program or in the Abstract Book.
  • If the presenting author of an accepted submission is unable to attend the Congress, the abstract must be withdrawn.
  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to inform the institution / association / company of registered participants who do not attend the Congress to present their oral communication or display their poster.

Abstract Submission System

  • Please submit your abstract prior to the deadline to avoid potential system overload on the last day.
  • You may upload your abstract using the Online Abstract Submission System. To upload your abstract, first register with your personal details. All future communication will be done with the registered author.
  • Select your presentation preference as Oral or Poster. Applications for Oral Presentations may be re-assigned as Poster Presentations by the Scientific Committee.
  • Please select one symposium sub-topic within the 7 main Scientific Commissions of Apimondia, listed below.
  • The maximum length allowed for an abstract is 350 words and the minimum is 150 words. The title, author(s) and names of institutions are not included in the word count.
  • A minimum of 3 and maximum 5 keywords must be added.
  • Font types are automatically standardized by the system.
  • Abstracts will be published, unedited, as submitted.
